After have had H&M Home collection in Europe for a few years, they have finally decided to bring it in to the UAE.
Its affordable & very Scandinavian in style and in trend- well needed over here for sure!
Interior doesn't have to be pricey, just available for all.
Both H&M & IKEA are Swedish and very popular, also for the UAE second hand market.
Folks here in general has no job security, it all depends on the market. So interior has to be gotten quick, within an allready strained relocation budget & also it needs to be easy to sell when moving again.
Ive had numerous friends moving over here throughout the years (we are human Dubai ad pillars:) and when they ask what to and what not to bring I always reply- Just bring things that is vintage & close to your heart.
Sell all else to a tax country price and get all for a fourth of the price at gumtree over here or at cool affordable and on-trend retailers like H&M & IKEA!
When we moved back to Dubai from Perth I sold most our Ikea stuff at Perth retail prices in Perth before leaving -so we actually made an Ikeas profit after 5 years of usage in Dubai!(bought at half retailer price as new in Dubai)
Instead I brought with me my Perth flee market bargains: Original & upcycled 1930s & 1960s furnitures when they more or less does not exist in Dubai (Hey its a young modern country so they are totally forgiven:)
